Relief care: bring the pain down.

Often people come in because they hurt. The first goal is simple: reduce that pain.

Relief care can take frequent visits at first, usually 2 to 3 a week and sometimes daily, for anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks depending on how severe the underlying problem is.

No pain doesn’t mean no problem

Many people believe that being free of pain means being healthy. But pain is a poor indicator of health: many conditions show no symptoms until they are well advanced. A cavity, for example, doesn’t hurt while it forms, only once it has.

Chiropractic care tends to relieve a large part of the pain quickly. The cause underneath is still there, though, which is why relief care is the first step, not the last.

Looking for the cause

While your pain comes down, Dr. Scorca looks for its root: the misalignments and problems that may not have started to hurt yet. Addressing those is what restores good function and supports your body’s natural healing. That work is the next step: corrective care.
