Corrective care: so it doesn’t come back.

Getting rid of the pain is the starting point, not the finish line.

Many chiropractors consider pain relief the easiest part of their work. If care stops as soon as the pain does, the problem that caused it is more likely to return. Regular, scheduled visits keep it from coming back.

Fewer visits, more healing

Visits become less frequent than in the first phase: usually around 4 to 8 a month, for anywhere from 6 to 24 months depending on how severe your problem was and how long you’ve had it. Stretches and exercises, in the office or as part of a home routine, help speed up healing.

Flare-ups are normal

Expect the occasional flare-up of your symptoms during this phase. Don’t let it worry you: flare-ups are a natural part of healing and tend to happen until the body has fully healed.

This phase is about more than managing pain. It corrects the underlying causes, restores good function and sets you up for long-term relief.
